Introducing 'Werner' - based on 'Dubbeldik', a dry transfer typeface designed by Ad Werner for Mecanorma in 1972 and redrawn by Claudio Rocha at Nowtype in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
10 line (42.3mm) and 12 line (50.8mm) cut from end grain English hardwood using a combination of modern CNC technology and traditional hand woodworking tools (including an original printers saw), made to English type-high (0.918in or 23.3mm) within plus or minus 0.1mm tolerance, sealed with shellac and hand finished with a traditional polished printing surface.
Available as a 3a lowercase (63 blocks), 5a lowercase (101 blocks) and Figures (23 blocks) schemes. Please see scheme details on the left.
Offered as lowercase only as per the original Dubbeldik, however future releases will include capitals - please see this link for details.
Other sizes and schemes available on request. I can also cut individual letters if you have a particular project in mind - please email what letters you would like.
