Meloriac is a unicase display typeface, an extra-heavy tribute to Futura Extra Bold and Avant Garde Gothic Bold. Designed by Raymond Larabie at Typodermic Fonts and available in woodtype for the first time. Manufactured under licence.
16 line (67.7mm) version cut from end grain English Sycamore hardwood using a combination of modern CNC technology and traditional hand woodworking tools (including an original printers saw), made to English type-high (0.918in or 23.3mm) within plus or minus 0.1mm tolerance, sealed with shellac and hand finished with a traditional polished printing surface.
Available as a 3A capitals (61 blocks), 2A Capitals (37 blocks) and Figures (23 blocks) schemes. Please see scheme details on the left.
Other sizes and schemes available on request, including language options. I can also cut individual letters if you have a particular project in mind - please email what letters you would like.
