Introducing 'Monpassie' - inspired by a label found in the Estonian town of Tartu and designed by type designer Mart Anderson. Includes ligatures, punctuation and numbers, along with accents for use in European languages.
6 line (25.4mm/1 inch) version cut from end grain English hardwood using a combination of modern CNC technology and traditional hand woodworking tools (including an original printers saw), made to English type-high (0.918in or 23.3mm) within plus or minus 0.1mm tolerance, sealed with shellac and hand finished with a traditional polished printing surface.
Available as a 3A scheme - 74 letters. A numbers and punctuation scheme is also available - 42 blocks. Please see scheme details on the left.
Accents and ligatures are a personal choice - to make things easy when ordering please select a Languages or Ligatures set and I will get in touch to discuss which blocks you would like. Available in sets of 5 blocks.
I can also cut larger sizes or individual letters if you have a particular project in mind - please email what you would like.
